Yamato So-Un
Yamato Soo-Un 大和宗雲(やまとそううん)
Born 1951 in Tokyo. Learned Buddhist sculpture for 13 years from Matsuhisa Sorin.
He then opened his own workshop in Shimoda, Izu peninsula, where he tries to incorporate the power and energy of the nature of this area in his carvings.
He also teaches carving of statues.
